APSC Question Paper: The Assam Public Service Comission (APSC) conducts a number of examinations for recruitment of officers, including the Assam Civil Service Examination (CSE), Assam Police Service Examination (APS), Assam Engineering Service Examination (AESE), Assam Financial Service Examination (AFSS), and Assam Medical Service Examination (AMSE).

The CSE is the most prestigious examination conducted by the APSC. It is a two-tier examination, consisting of a Preliminary Examination and a Main Examination. The Preliminary Examination is a qualifying examination, while the Main Examination is a competitive examination.

APSC Question Paper

Every year, the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) to fill several Grade I officer cadre openings in the Assam government. APSC CCE Exam Pattern

The APSC CCE Exam Pattern is as follows:

Preliminary Exam

  • Objective type, multiple choice questions
  • 2 question papers of 2 hours each
  • Total marks: 400 (200 marks each)
  • Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

Mains Exam

  • Descriptive and objective type questions
  • 6 papers of 3 hours each
  • Total marks: 1500 (250 marks each)
  • Medium of exam: English or Assamese

About Assam Public Service Comission

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is a state agency responsible for the recruitment of Group A and Group B officers for the Government of Assam and all state government establishments under the Government of Assam, which also includes state public sector undertakings and state autonomous bodies.

The APSC was established on 1 April 1937 under the provisions of the Assam Public Service Commission Act, 1936. The headquarters of the APSC is located at APSC Building, Jawahar Nagar, Khanapara, Guwahati, Assam.

The APSC is a constitutional body and its members are appointed by the Governor of Assam. The APSC is headed by a Chairman, who is assisted by a Vice-Chairman and other members.
