About Brahmaputra River:

The Brahmaputra Valley has a normal width of around 80 Km. The primary stream of the valley, Brahmaputra is perhaps the biggest waterway on the planet and rank fifth regarding its normal release. The waterway begins from the Kailash scopes of Himalayas at a height of 5300 M. Subsequent to coursing through Tibet it enters India through Arunachal Pradesh and moves through Assam and Bangladesh before it joins Bay of Bengal.
The catchments space of Brahmaputra in Tibet is 2, 93,000 Sq. Km; in India and Bhutan is 2,40,000 Sq. Km and in Bangladesh is 47,000 Sq. Km. The Brahmaputra bowl stretches out over a space of 5,80,000 Sq. Km up to its juncture inside Bangladesh.
The normal width of Brahmaputra is 5.46 Km. The most extreme release of Brahmaputra at Pandu close to Guwahati was recorded as 72,779 cumec on 23.08.62 and least release was recorded as 1757 cumec on 22.02.63. The normal yearly release is around 20,000 cumec and normal dry season release is 4,420 cumec.
The waterway incline is extremely steep till it enters India. A drop of around 4800 M is accomplished in a length at around 1700 Km in China (Tibet). This normal incline of about 2.82 m/Km gets diminished to about 0.1m/Km in Assam valley. Because of this unexpected smoothing of stream incline, the waterway becomes interlaced in nature in the Assam valley. Joining of these feeders bringing high silt load actuates twisting.
Brahmaputra sub-bowl reaches out over a space of 580,000 sq.km lying in Tibet (China), Bhutan, India and Bangladesh. The waste region lying in India is 194413 sq.km which is almost 5.9% of the complete geological space of the country. It is limited on the north by the Himalayas, on the east by the Patkari scope of slopes running along the Assam-Burma line, on the south by the Assam scope of slopes and on the west by the Himalayas and the edge .isolating it from Ganga sub-bowl. The sub-bowl lies in the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, West Bengal and Sikkim.

About Barak River:

The Barak valley has a geological space of 6922.00 Sq. Km barring 2(two) slope locale. The neighborhood precipitation run off of the valley alongside that of nearby bumpy regions moves through stream Barak and its different feeders and is depleted out to Bangladesh. The Katakhal, Jiri, Chiri, Modhura, Longai, Sonai, Rukni and Singla are the primary feeders of the valley. The feeders are primarily downpour taken care of and mess flood up when precipitation happens.
The seepage space of the sut lying in India is 41723 sq.km which is almost 1.38% of the all out geological space of the country. It is be on the north by the Barail range isolating it from the Brahmaputra sub-bowl, on the east by the Na Lushai slopes and on the south and west by Bangladesh. The sub-bowl lies in the States - Meghalaya. Manipur, Mizoram, Assam, Tripura and Nagaland.
